First Steps
You have made the decision to start therapy, so let’s begin with the first steps to setting up your appointment. Please call or email us to discuss our services, availability, rates, and to confirm your insurance coverage. Next, you may schedule either a 60-minute initial intake evaluation or a free 15-minute phone consultation with one of our therapists. The purpose of the phone consultation is for you to discuss your needs with one of our therapists and to see if the two of you are a good fit. During the phone consultation, you will have the opportunity to ask the therapist questions about his/her services and treatment approach. If you decide to proceed with therapy after the phone consultation, you may schedule the intake evaluation with that therapist.
All therapy sessions between you and your therapist are conducted via a HIPAA-compliant video conferencing platform. You may also choose phone sessions instead if you would prefer.
Once your first appointment has been scheduled, we will send you the electronic intake forms via a secure patient portal. The documents will include the treatment consent form, notice of privacy practices, a brief intake form, and a questionnaire about your specific symptoms. These will take about 10 to 20 minutes to complete. This is the final step before starting therapy.

Rates & Insurance
Our practice accepts both insured and non-insured clients. Insurance plans accepted: Carelon Behavioral Health (formerly Beacon Health Options), Emblem Health, GHI, NY Empire Plan, Optum (United Healthcare, Oxford, Oscar Health, GEHA, & UMR), Aetna, Cigna, Magnacare, and Blue Cross Blue Shield. We can verify your in-network and out-of-network benefits, as well as submit insurance claims for both in-network and out-of-network services. For self-pay rates, please contact us at 646-450-3064 to discuss session rates, as they vary depending on the format of therapy (e.g., individual, couples, group, or family therapy), as well as the length of sessions (e.g., 45, 60, or 90 minutes).
Please note that you are expected to provide payment at the time that services are rendered. We accept all major credit cards, including any health savings account (HSA). We process all payment through Stripe, which is built into our secure patient portal.
Office Hours
You may contact our receptionist from Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 AM and 5 PM EST. Our clinicians offer appointments Monday through Sunday, and we offer morning, afternoon, or evening appointments.
