Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Clinical Director

Dr. Kimmy Ramotar is a licensed clinical psychologist who provides virtual therapy across most U.S. states. She specializes in treating children, adolescents, and adults, offering expert care for individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, phobias, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), interpersonal challenges, grief, and trauma-related concerns.
With extensive training in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic therapy, Dr. Ramotar tailors her approach to meet the unique needs of each client. She believes in a holistic and individualized treatment process, beginning with a comprehensive assessment that considers current difficulties, past experiences, and personal goals. By fostering a warm, supportive, and collaborative environment, she empowers her clients to build new skills, create meaningful change, and enhance overall well-being. She is deeply committed to helping clients navigate life’s challenges with resilience and confidence.
Dr. Ramotar’s diverse clinical background spans both inpatient and outpatient settings. She has worked in hospitals, a college counseling center, residential treatment centers, and private practices, helping individuals across different stages of life. At Northeast Psychological Wellness, she not only provides therapy but also offers training and clinical supervision to therapists at varying levels of experience. Previously, Dr. Ramotar worked at Northwell Health Physician Partners CBT Practice, where she delivered short-term, evidence-based therapy to adolescents and adults. She also held a position at the Child Mind Institute in New York City, working with children and adolescents diagnosed with anxiety, mood, and disruptive behavioral disorders, including selective mutism, social anxiety, depression, ADHD, and ODD. During her post-doctoral fellowship at the Community Health Center in Stamford, Connecticut, she provided individual and group therapy to adults dealing with anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, and substance use disorders.
Dr. Ramotar earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Long Island University (LIU) in NY, where she also served as a professor of psychology.
