Psychotherapist

Liora is deeply committed to supporting her clients in forging new paths toward mental health and well-being. Guided by the principles of positive psychology, Liora believes that everyone possesses unique, innate strengths that can help them to build their version of a fulfilling life. Her approach focuses on helping clients identify and embrace these strengths through a blend of evidence-based practices tailored to each individual. Her areas of focus include supporting adolescents and adults with anxiety, depression, mood and personality disorders, LGBTQIA+ concerns, life transitions, and challenges related to sex and intimacy.
Liora’s practice is grounded in person-centered therapy, while also incorporating techniques from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and exposure-based interventions. Her confidence that her clients are the true experts of their lives allows for a non-judgmental, collaborative therapeutic environment where her clients are empowered to explore their challenges, rediscover their resilience, and cultivate self-efficacy, self-acceptance, and self-love. Her background in theatre and performing arts informs her passion for bringing elements of creative self-expression into the therapeutic process.
Liora is a mental health counselor practicing under a New York State limited permit. She earned her master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Pace University, where she completed a year-long clinical internship at Northeast Psychological Wellness.
