Licensed Psychotherapist
Madeleine Silverstein is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Board Certified Behavior Analyst with several years of clinical experience. She provides psychotherapy to adolescents, adults, and families utilizing an integrative approach to address issues related to anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, self-esteem, relationship/interpersonal challenges, life transitions, behavioral challenges, parenting issues, and family conflict.
With a very engaging personality, Madeleine brings warmth, compassion, humor, and empathy to the therapeutic relationship; she honors and prioritizes the development of trust as a necessary foundation for successful treatment. She creates a comfortable atmosphere where one feels safe and empowered to share their thoughts and feelings freely without fear of judgment.
When working with Madeleine, clients will be able to identify their strengths, gain a deep understanding of the themes in their lives, and gain insight into their past experiences, relationship patterns, and unhealthy coping skills that may be keeping them stuck. Using the most innovative, research-based techniques, clients will be given concrete skills and tools that will help them achieve their goals and create lasting change.
Madeleine obtained her master’s degree in Social Work from Fordham University and her master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Arizona State University. With both of these advanced degrees, Madeleine has been able to work in a variety of clinical settings, including inpatient hospitals, home-based treatment, residential treatment, schools, and outpatient treatment programs. Within these settings, Madeleine has worked with multiple client populations and has gained expertise in the use of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness techniques, behavior therapy, parent management training, psychodynamic therapy, and trauma-informed treatment.
