Licensed Psychotherapist
Victoria Gulino is a New York State licensed mental health counselor. In a warm, non-judgmental, empathetic manner, Victoria recognizes that establishing safety comes first in the therapeutic relationship. Victoria has a strong record of supporting clients with struggles of anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, PTSD, self-esteem, ADHD, stress, life transitions, finding meaning and purpose, addictions, recovery and spiritual inquiry and exploration.
Viewing her clients from holistic lens, Victoria addresses the whole person: psychological, emotional, biological, and spiritual. She supports her clients in gaining greater self-awareness, understanding of how the past influences the present, recognizing unhelpful patterns, and in orienting one’s self to the “here and now.” Interventions include cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), clinical meditation and imagery, trauma-informed mindfulness, somatic and sensory awareness, and creative visualization and expression. She skillfully helps her clients explore obstacles and goals so that their lives can be lived with less suffering and greater peace. Victoria fine tunes her clinical approach to align with the needs of each individual’s goals and draws highly from the potential of higher consciousness.
Victoria has extensive clinical experience working with diverse populations and with various modalities. She has additional professional trainings in clinical meditation and imagery, art therapy, transpersonal psychology, psychosynthesis, mindfulness, trauma-informed therapy.
Victoria serves as a consultant at The Huntington Meditation and Imagery Center. She is an art and meditation specialist at Outreach New York. She has developed and offered workshops at The Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health and has presented at the International Psychosynthesis Conference, “Be Your True Self,” at John Abbott College in Montreal, Canada as well as at other venues.
Victoria obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology, summa cum laude at San Francisco State University. She obtained a master’s degree in Art Education at Goddard College (Thesis: Art for the Whole Child). She obtained a second master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from CUNY Hunter. Victoria holds professional certificates in Clinical Meditation and Imagery and Transpersonal Coaching and Psychosynthesis. She is also a Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Use Counselor (CASAC).
